Using the Circle option creates a circular shape that can work as a path
for animation. If you make the camera follow that circle and use a Track
To constraint, you will create an animation called "Turntable." In that
animation, a camera flies around an object in a circular trajectory.
Assuming you have a 3D model already at the scene. You can follow
these steps to create a turntable animation:
1. Create the Circle from the Curve group.
2. Adjust the scale and Z coordinate of your curve with the S and G
keys.
3. Select the camera first, and holding the SHIFT key, add the circle
to the selection.
4. Press the CTRL+P keys and choose "Follow Path."
5. Select the camera only and got o the Object → Clear → Origin
menu. That will make the camera origin to align with the circle.
6. Select the camera, and holding the SHIFT key, add the object you
want to stay at the center of your circle to the selection.
7. Go to the Object → Track → Track To Constraint menu.
If you press the SPACEBAR, you will see the camera following the circle
as a path for the animation.
Tip: Use an Empty as the target for your camera. That way you will have
more flexibility to move the focus point for your animation.
